Statement of Faith
Statement of Faith
WE BELIEVE in GOD THE FATHER.

WE BELIEVE in JESUS CHRIST.

WE BELIEVE in the HOLY SPIRIT.
WE BELIEVE that all MEN are sinners by nature and choice and are therefore under condemnation; that GOD regenerates by the Holy Spirit, those who repent of their sin and confess Jesus Christ as Lord; that Jesus Christ baptizes the seeking believer with the Holy Spirit and power for service, often subsequent to regeneration.
WE BELIEVE in the universal CHURCH, the living spiritual body, of which Christ is the Head and all regenerated persons are members.
WE BELIEVE that the Lord Jesus Christ committed two ORDINANCES to the Church, baptism and the Lord's Supper. We believe in water baptism by immersion and communion of the Holy Spirit.
WE BELIEVE in LAYING ON OF HANDS for the empowering of the Holy Spirit, for receiving gifts of the Spirit, for healing, and for recognition and empowering of those whom God has ordained to lead and serve the church including the ordination of pastors, elders, and deacons.

WE BELIEVE that the BIBLE in its entirety is the inspired word of God, and that its writings are eternal truths that are to be experienced and practiced by believers for all time

Who we are Spiritually
‘The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.’ Luke 4:18-19
This declaration by Jesus is His mission statement, so it is also the mission statement of The Altar, Community Church -Saint Cloud . Here at The Altar, we recognize that we are co-workers with Him in His Kingdom unto this purpose.
Our aim is to train up believers in faith under the direction of the Holy Spirit, seeking to have true devotion, in addition to ‘devotions’; and true service, in addition to merely attending ‘services’. We recognize our responsibility in Christ to respond corporately and individually to His ‘Great Commission’, to…
‘preach the gospel to every creature’ Mark 16:15, and to ‘make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you’
Matthew 28:18-20.
We at The Altar Community Church-St. Cloud desire to pattern our ministry after the ministry of Jesus who in Luke 15:1-7 told a parable about the lost sheep and how the good shepherd would leave the 99 saved sheep to go find the lost one. We focus our attention on the lost sheep and how we can bring them into the safety of Christ Jesus.
Jesus commissions us in Mathew 28:18-20 and He gave us the task of making disciples out of those who are lost. And as we discover His heart of love for those who are lost and perishing, we must take steps to assure that no one in our community perishes without the opportunity to hear His Gospel or good news.
This brings The Altar, this body of believers, into obedience with Christ. As morals erode nationally, we hold and affirm Biblical standards, even against such worldliness
